Why is this unit in the DiamondBack Outlet?

This DiamondBack HD the logo is peeling off, this can be fixed with a JB Weld epoxy. One of the hinges is scratched and the weatherstrip is gapped on both sides of the cover at the center panel possibly causing some leaking.
